Mary joined Holden Street in 2020 as part of the team and was confirmed as Manager in March 2021. She is a seasoned practitioner in the neighbourhood house sector and holds dual Advanced Diplomas in Management and Community Services Management.

Mary is deeply passionate about our community and loves being at the helm of the House as it grows and adapts to meet emerging needs. She works to empower people in all aspects of the organisation, whether they are staff, volunteers or participants. Guided by strong social justice principles, she is committed to the role community organisations play in advocating for and responding to local needs alongside community members.

We welcomed Bella to the Holden Street team at the beginning of 2021, and she has been a driving force in the growth and development of the House ever since. In her role, she now oversees all programs, activities and events at Holden Street, helping to shape a diverse and responsive program that reflects community needs and interests.

Bella brings a strong background in program coordination, marketing and fundraising, along with a passion for connecting with people and building opportunities that bring the community together. She loves meeting new participants and hearing directly from community members about what they would like to see at Holden Street, and continues to play a key role in supporting the House’s ongoing growth and impact.

Julia joined Holden Street in 2022 as Administration Officer and has been a warm, friendly and familiar face around the House ever since. Over this time, she has grown in her role and stepped into expanded responsibilities, now supporting the administration needs of programs across Holden Street.

Julia has been a key go-to person for staff, participants and visitors alike, always ready to answer questions and help things run smoothly. Her warm and welcoming spirit has made her an important part of the daily life of the House, and she continues to enjoy connecting with the community each day.

She can usually be found in the office or around the House each morning- come say hello and chat with her about upcoming events, house hire enquiries, or anything Holden Street related.

Robyn has been part of the Holden Street team for over 14 years, and we feel incredibly lucky to have had her knowledge, care and steady presence throughout that time. As she moves into a new role that better suits this stage of her life, Robyn will continue to be a valued part of the House, supporting general administration and day-to-day operations.

Robyn grew up in the small potato-growing district of Gordon and attended school in Ballarat before moving to Melbourne to study Science- and she never left. She has lived along the Merri Creek for over 25 years and loves the local area. An avid bike rider, nowhere feels too far from North Fitzroy.

Her boys attended nearby schools, and her family remains actively involved in local sporting clubs. Robyn’s deep local knowledge and long-standing connections to the community have been an invaluable part of her contribution to Holden Street.

For Robyn, her work at Holden Street Neighbourhood House is a meaningful extension of her connection to this vibrant and diverse community.
